My name is Zurika Grimes Jonck, the owner and photographer at Jonck & Lief Photography, formerly known as Grimez Photography.

 

I am an accredited wedding and lifestyle photographer residing in Auckland, New Zealand. I am a wife and mother of two, soon to be three. I completed a three-year National Diploma in Photography and graduated from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth in 2010.

 

I would describe my work as soft and natural. I love using natural lighting, as well as the influence of romanticism that naturally comes from the love shared between a man and a woman, a parent and a child or even the joy experienced from the companionship of a pet. In using clean backgrounds, these moments shared between people remain the main focus in my photographs.

 

This may very well be my main inspiration as a photographer – using my camera as a way to celebrate the natural love and beauty people express and experience in everyday life. I am truly passionate about weddings and thoroughly enjoy capturing precious moments that will always be treasured. Because I love what I do, my photographing style comes naturally to me. Combine this second nature with a sense of humour and you will always feel at ease at my shoots. I take pride in building excellent relationships with my clients. As a photographer you become a part of new and exciting journeys, and I always have a great deal of respect for the families and friends that I work with.
